Thank you! I love this costume, too, truly a favorite of mine. I made it out of stretch vinyl, also called neoprene. It is comfortable EXCEPT that the shoes are a horrifying size too small, and I tend to limp at conventions!
I use 0.5mm neoprene to surf and I can tell first hand it takes forever to remove the damn thing. I got stuck once... I talked with several cosplayers about the use of neoprene and everybody seems to get use to it, since it's easy to use and "comfortable". I feel like a sausage when I am wearing mine...and it is hot because I only use it when water conditions are really cold 12C or 14C degrees Celcius..
UHhhh, sorry. I was working with neoprene when I wrote that. It's made of PVC, a.k.a. stretch vinyl. Yeeah, I'm mading my Batgirl arm gauntlets out of neoprene and vinyl. This is just vinyl on top of more vinyl! I do sweat in this fabric but I feel neoprene would be worse!
You look fantastic. Once a girl told me: "you are only saying it because there's a skintight element involved to it." Of course there is an odd element in cosplay. I had a sister who was a cosplayer fanatic, almost got to WCS...so I refuse to believe that cosplay is just that. The materials are awesome and you put so much details on the costume that it is almost unbelievable. Congratulations!
Thank you!! I don't worry too much about the "skin-tight," thing other than the pressure to be in good shape! Anyone can wear a catsuit but cosplay is truly about BECOMING the character you admire for a day. I don't feel like an object to oogle when I wear this-- I feel powerful and mysterious and ready to eat planets! I'm so glad you like this costume, it's really one I'll always be proud of!
That's the spirit. To become somebody else entirely different. A pressure valve to our 9to5 lives. Jean agree is the pinnacle of power. In a chauvinist Universe is a beacon of light and a role model. You are one with the character.
